CHIEF OFFICERS’ APPOINTMENTS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE COMMITTEE

A MEETING of the CHIEF OFFICERS’ APPOINTMENTS AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE COMMITTEE was held at the MANSION HOUSE, DONCASTER on THURSDAY, 3RD SEPTEMBER, 2009 at 1.00 p.m.

 

PRESENT:-

 

Chair – Councillor Yvonne Woodcock

Vice-Chair – Councillor Joe Blackham

 

Councillors Tony Brown, Stuart Hardy, Allan Jones (substitute for Councillor Bob Ford), Chris Mills, Margaret Pinkney, Pat Porritt and Tony Sockett.

 

APOLOGIES:-

 

Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Bob Ford, Carole Williams and Patrick Wilson.

DECLARATIONS OF PERSONAL OR PREJUDICIAL INTEREST, IF ANY.

 

 

 

No declarations were made at the meeting.

 

 

2.

MINUTES OF THE MEETING HELD ON THE 4TH AUGUST, 2009.

 

 

 

            RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on 4th August,             2009, be approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

 

 

3.

EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC AND PRESS.

 

 

 

            RESOLVED that the public and press be excluded from the             remaining proceedings of the meeting in accordance with Section             100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972, as amended, on the grounds that exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of   Schedule 12A to the Act, is likely to be disclosed.

SHORTLISTING FOR CHIEF OFFICERS POSTS:-

 

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF RESOURCES (FINANCE)

 

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF RESOURCES (LEGAL AND DEMOCRATIC SERVICES

 

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NEIGHBOURHOODS AND COMMUNITIES (LEISURE AND CULTURE)

 

ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT (REGENERATION)

 

 

 

The Committee received a report informing Members of the arrangements made for the short-listing to four Assistant Director positions and the recent organisational changes at third tier Chief Officer level.

 

 

 

As Members were aware at the meeting on the 4th August, 2009, the Committee agreed that a number of key posts within the Chief Officer management structure had now been advertised internally and applications were to be considered for shortlist and interview.

 

 

 

            RESOLVED that a shortlist of 5 candidates for interview including             presentation be approved and that the Mayor or Cabinet Portfolio             Members be invited to attend the relevant interviews, along with             the Director and Committee members on the 7th October, 2009.
