Purpose:
In July 2016 Doncaster Council in partnership
with the Friends of Sandall Park, submitted an application to WREN
for funding towards a Woodland Adventure Play Park to be installed
in Sandall Park at a cost of circa maximum £50k.
Decision:
To accept £36,448k of WREN funding to
purchase and install a Woodland Adventure Park in Sandall
Park.
Alternative options considered:
The terms of the grant are very favourable and
give us an opportunity to do something that would not be possible
otherwise.
