The first People's Powerhouse is a convention for all the people and organisations who deliver inclusive growth in the North. It will bring together practitioners, policy makers, opinion formers, local people and stakeholders to share best practice, debate policy and share whats working to bring about change and innovation to support inclusive and growth in the North.
Doncaster Council has been a driving force behind the convention. The event is being jointly co-ordinated by the Council and Transforms Life Company with the Council, as a corporate body being asked to underwrite the event, deal with the VAT element and be responsible for the ordering of goods and services.

That the Council agree to act as sponsors for the Peoples Powerhouse conference which is to be held at the Keepmoat Stadium on Tuesday 9th May 2017 and underwrite the event.

Option 1 - Recommended - The the Council agrees to act as sponsors for the People's Powerhouse conference and underwrite the event in order to ensure that a successful event can be arranged within Doncaster which will benefit both Doncaster and the wider region as a whole.
Option 2 - Not recommended - This option would risk the event not taking place and any opportunities arising out of holding the event in Doncaster would be lost.
