There are in excess pf 30 active conversation
points/bubs across the borough. The primary aim of these is to
provide prevention, early intervention support closer to where
people live in a familiar community setting. Information, Advice
and Guidance (IAG) are key elements in the delivery of this
approach.
The principle operation of conversation points has in the main been
carried out by Council staff with support and involvement at some
venues by volunteers. However, this is beginning to change as we
move forward. The purchase and installation of technology has the
real potential to be a cost effective community based solution,
whereby access to universal support services can be sourced with
little to no external facilitation support. The Voluntary,
Community and Faith sector are well placed to deliver this offer
and are often seen by residents as trusted support services,
therefore best placed to respond to residents. Key to the ongoing
successful roll-out is the need to ensure we provide a high level
of customer service and in order to do so it is important that we
have the right 'tools' for the job.
To support the purchase and installation of
technical solutions in community venues.

for the purchase and installation of agile technology in community
venue to support the delivery of the Community Led Support model
