To acknowledge that the cost of completing construction of the cycle circuit overspent by £108k and to request a further £108k Council resources to fund this scheme.

Options considered and rejected
- To not spend an additional £108,000.00 above budget. This option would have meant construction of the circuit would not have been completed. Therefore it would not be available for use by the public and could not have been used as the start location for the UCI World Championships.
- To source external funding to assist with the meeting of the shortfall. Unfortunately no further external funding was available.
