RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting held on 12th August, 2020 be approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

The Sub-Committee considered an application for a summary review in respect of The Corner Pocket & Majestic Suite, Mexborough.

 

At the commencement of the hearing, the Chair welcomed all parties to the meeting, made introductions and outlined the procedure to be followed.

 

As the hearing was being held via a Teleconferencing Facility, Members of the Sub-Committee and other parties were informed by the Chair that she would indicate who would speak next in order to ensure that the meeting ran smoothly as possible.

 

The Licensing Officer introduced the application and outlined the salient points.

 

The Solicitor representing the Applicant, addressed the Sub-Committee, made representations and answered questions.

 

The Solicitor representing the Licence Holder, addressed the Sub-Committee, made representations and answered questions.

 

All parties were then asked to leave the teleconference meeting whilst the Sub-Committee deliberated on the application and reached a decision.

 

All parties were then invited back in to the meeting to be informed of the Sub-Committee’s decision.

 

RESOLVED that the Sub-Committee, having considered the application for a review of the Premises Licence of the Corner Pocket and Majestic Suite, Bank Street, Mexborough, and having taken into account the application made and the evidence presented today, and having taken into account the steps that are appropriate to promote the Licensing Objectives, the Home Office Guidance and the Statement of Licensing Policy, the Sub-Committee has noted that the Premises Licence Holder has taken extensive measures including a change in management structure and a change in door staff.  On that basis, the Sub-Committee has decided to modify the Conditions on the Premises Licence.

 

The Licence will include all of the conditions at pages 52 to 54 of the agenda, together with those detailed at Annex 2 which are not included at pages 52 to 54.

 

The Sub-Committee is satisfied that the modified Conditions will promote the licencing objectives.
