The current tenant, Wedd (Flowers) Limited are
holding over on a lease which expired on 8th March, 2000. When they
were granted a lease of the property it was given without security
of tenure, however because they are holding over they now have
security of tenure which would mean that if the property was
required for redevelopment, as previously proposed, compensation
would be payable to the tenant.

The Tier 3 Weight Management contract was
originally implemented in 2014 for a 3 year contract period with a
2 x year possible extension option in March 2017. The original
contract also contained a Children's weight management service
which has since been tapered and closed as per the contract
variation and key Decision record approved in March 2016. As the
service was redesigned in March 2016 the current contract will not
change in any way and will continue for a further 12 months to
allow further performance monitoring of the weight management
service over the next 12 months. In view of the gaps already in
weight management services following the closing down of the Tier 2
service it would be detrimental at this stage to close down another
service when the pathway has only been re-designed in March this
year and a contract variation in place around 6 months
ago.
Decision Maker: Director of Public Health
Decision published: 12/01/2017
Effective from: 22/12/2016
Decision:
Following review of the current Tier 3 Weight
Management service it has been agreed to extend the current Tier 3
Weight Management service for another year with no changes to the
initial contract and with a view to a further review at the end of
the contract in March 2018.

For more than a year Schofield Street and the
surrounding area has been subject to significant bouts of ASB,
criminal activity and gang lead behavior. The streets in question
are of mixed tenure, but are predominantly private rented and the
area in general is extremely run down and unsightly in places.
Schofield Park is positioned adjacent to Schofield Street. The
park, in particular the play area, has been badly damaged over
previous years, which has left much of the apparatus dilapidated
and unfit for either use or repair.
Following a multiagency approach and a significant amount of
resources the ASB, and other ASB associated activities have
improved greatly, this is partly due to many of the gang leaders
being on remand or imprisoned. A further success in the fight
against crime and ASB in the area is a CCTV camera which has been
located and captures most of the area of Schofield
Street.
Decision Maker: Director of Adults, Health and Well-Being
Decision published: 11/01/2017
Effective from: 22/09/2016

Estimated cost is £7,000.
Plus a 10% contingency of £3,900.

the improvement of Public Open Space within the Mexborough ward.

Under the Health and Social Care Act (2012)
local authorities have the responsibility to protect the health of
their resident population. Part of this Health Protection function
is Infection Prevention and Control (IPC).
Existing IPC services are in place in Doncaster to cover service
users under the direct care of Doncaster and Bassetlaw NHS
Foundation Trust (DBHFT) and Rotherham, Doncaster and South
Humberside NHS Foundation Trust (RDASH). However there is a gap in
the provision of IPC specialist support in the community including
support for care homes and domiciliary care providers.

A Public Health procurement strategy had
previously been approved by cabinet, and DMBC procurement processes
were followed, going out for tender for a whole system, adult
integrated substance misuse treatment and recovery system. Three
applicants submitted bids which were evaluated against a
pre-determined evaluation matrix. A partnership between RDASH and
ADS, known as 'Aspire' was the most economically advantageous
tender and was awarded the contract.
